CLAIT caters for the full range of learners in IT) whether in school, college, training, further education or employment. It is ideally suited for those who have had only a very basic introduction to the use of IT, are working at Level 1, and who wish to gain accreditation for newly acquired skills at this level. If you can reach the standards set by CLAIT then you have the basic, practical skills needed to work with the most common software applications.

No written exam for CLAIT,just a realistic practical assignment for each application
In order to achieve a certificate qualification, candidates are required to achieve three units - the mandatory unit plus the two additional units as described below.
Employability:
The qualification most commonly requested by employers as a minimum requirement for IT user skills.
This course will equip learners with the basic range of transferable skills necessary to meet the demands of the modem workplace and prepare the learner for progression to further ICT accredited training at levels 2 and 3.
Standards:
Assesses what you can actually do in terms of practical competence
Learners must complete every single assessment objective satisfactorily, making CLAIT a very rigorous and absolute assessment of introductory IT user skills.
